    ClipFitter

All original (steel construction) ClipFitters are precision compound-lever pliers for fitting our Lamb Clips only. They all generate the necessary closing force to produce the effect of anaesthesia. Please take note of lamb weight recommendations (look at the chart) when you choose your clips and fitter. Please remember that the MidiFitter can fit Midi and Mini clips with care, and MaxiFitter can sensibly be used for Midi and Maxi clips, although can with care fit Mini clips too.

The "Double" option refers to the handle design which has raised handles (to lift hands above obstacles) and because of a reversed spring wants to close the jaws and therefore the clip. So you open the jaws/clip with the front horned-handles (which require a smaller hand spread than the single version) to attached the clip; then releasing your grip, the jaws will hold the tail or scrotum gently, while you check positioning and without running the risk of losing your grip on the 'target'.  The Single design of handle, supplied in all sizes, is a familiar plier design and relies on your dexterity to keep a grip and would need a reasonably wide hand stretch.

The only Hybrid model (Plastic coated Steel), is the MINI, and is designed as an entry level, lower cost, device.

    Lamb Clips (x100)

Please visit the ClipFitter Website for a fuller explanation of the ClipFitter system

You have a choice of sizes, so please see the lamb maximum weight suggestions and respective prices for different materials.TAKE CARE NOT TO BUY TOO SMALL A CLIP - the clip can fail to close properly in there is too much flesh to close over. Assuming you buy a bigger Fitter, then you can buy a selection of clip sizes to use as appropriate.

BIO Clips are sustainably sourced plant and wood based - they are not conventional fossil fuel plastics. They degrade like wood chips - they don't melt away. The abundance of microbes, and therefore the environment they fall into are key. As a broad guide  to their volume, if litter is your concern, 1 tree 'chipped' would produce 100,000 clips, 10 trees 1 million clips. You have to decide if you prioritise animal welfare and profit from thriving lambs, over your concern about pieces of plant and wood being left on your land.

  • Rings On Rods (100)

    Rings On Rods (100)

David Sullivan well known Shepherd and Story teller, won Farmer category innovation prize at NSA's Sheep 2022 event. We won the Trade version !
His 'kebab' conveniently delivers rings to a single handed shepherd provided they have pre-loaded the 'skewers'.
Our version of David's original idea is a plastic rod with ball end, and to load the rings you simply prod the rod down onto each ring poured onto a flat surface, and it will pick them up, one after another !

Ring kebabs hold exactly 20 rings and they are moulded in pink and blue so that you can keep count of male and female lambs processed on the day. 2x pink and 4x blue per pack (more for the boys, for obvious reasons)

Ring kebabs hang from a your jacket or belt or our lamb cradle if you have one. Rings not included - buy rings from your usual supplier.
